The other day I was discussing with some friends what makes a web-based endeavour prosper and one of my friends hit the nail right on the head when he said that simplicity does it. I was reminded of this when I came across this site.
Granted, the premise behind it has a very specific appeal, yet I am of the opinion that this site can have more visits than one might think on first looks.
Basically, what deskography does is let you upload a photograph or photographs of your desk for others to see. This lets parents and relatives see what is like where you ply your trade. But there is another possible use which makes me think this web-based service has some potential. Basically, you can interact with others and find information on how to best decorate your office. This is more important than it seems. Your office is one of the first points of contact with your customers, and it speaks both about you and your company or the company you represent. As such, any tool that helps you connect with clients in a more effective way should not be overlooked.
The site showcases the latest featured desks on its main page, and the most recent profiles are likewise highlighted. The latest comments can also be viewed straightaway.
