Browserling.com – Cross Browser Testing

Browserling.comNo matter how you look at it, testing cross browser compatibility is a nuisance. You have to load the actual browser and fiddle about for hours on end. Alternatively, you can test everything in a virtualized environment. That involves using a test machine in which you load the browser, and test it out to the full. And that is the kind of service provided by Browserling.

Built upon StackVM, Browserling lets you run as many virtual instances as you need right within your browser. That is, you will be able to launch several browsers directly within your browser, and see how the application that you are building behaves itself. And everything is tracked using a web console – there is nothing to install on your side.

These are the browsers which are currently supported: Internet Explorer 5.5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, Firefox 3.5, Chrome 7, Opera 10.6 and Safari 5.0.

Browserling is a free service, and it will remain like that. Eventually, some paid plans will be introduced, letting you carry out longer tests, and access the service more readily (right now, you sometimes have to wait for a session to be started).
