Showzey is a new service that gathers all the photographs that you have hosted in Flickr and Picasa along with the ones in accounts such as Gmail and Facebook and then proceeds to liberate them all. “What does that mean?”, I hear you say.
Basically, it means that your photographs become shareable and accessible from just everywhere. You no longer have to log in and out of accounts in order to retrieve them, and you can carry out actions such as creating RSS feeds with your best stills and captioning your pictures.
A good point is that you don’t need to register to use this service. The credentials you use on services like Yahoo, Google, Twitter and Facebook are accepted, and then you can proceed to have your photos collected right on the spot.
The fact remains that if there is one place in which photos become lost and forgotten that is your mailbox. I gave this tool a try and I came up with things I had forgotten completely. In most cases, that was for a reason. But there were some pleasant surprises too, and I won’t deny it.
