WhatYouPost.com – An Analyzer Of Social Content

  • June 18, 2010

WhatYouPost.comHow do you know if what you are posting to Twitter is actually something remotely interesting, or if you are making nothing but an addition to the estimated 90 % of tweets that mean nothing to most people at all? Leaving aside these tweets that we know are circumscribed in themselves (IE “Happy birthday Bob!”), the answer might not be that obvious, or that easy to arrive at. And that is where this new service comes into the picture.

It goes by the name of What You Post, and we could define it as an analyzer and ranker of the content that anybody posts to sites not just like Twitter and Facebook but also to the blogosphere in its entirety.

The system is still being implemented as of the time this review is being written, but it can already take care of the one analysis that many people would feel inclined to take: the degree of professionalism of their tweets. That is, by giving What You Post access to your Twitter account you can have it step in the shoes of recruiters and tell you how they perceive what you are posting online. That is quite interesting for starters, and I am sure it will generate the necessary amount of interest for this platform to get somewhere.
