USHistory.net – Turn Of The Century
USHistory.net is a site based on two ideas, which although clichés are nonetheless truths.
The first is: “To know who we are, we must know where we came from” and the second is: “It was a time of great transformation and change”. These used truths are particularly descriptive of the turn of the century in the United States; stating the facts which reaffirm the urbanized, industrialized and technologically advanced culture it has turned into. This site intends to explore all the issues and their impacts on lives up till today, with debates and arguments concerning the role of government in domestic issues, the status of immigrants, and the use of national power in other countries, with current reincarnations of old controversies. You will be able to find the Time line section, where you will be able to find all these turns in life, biographies on scientists, pacifists, presidents, leaders and educators.
