Columbuszoo.org is the official website of three Columbus facilities: the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the Zoombezi Bay Waterpark, and the Columbus Zoo Safari Golf.

At the homepage you can access any of the three, that is, if you have enough patience. Indeed, the site is fulfilled with 3d animations, so it’s very slowly navigable and that can be a bit annoying. However, if you don’t get nervous and wait, you’ll certainly enjoy the site, since it has a lot of visual resources. Navigate through Columbuszoo.org by accessing the different categories placed at the top of your screen, which include Animals, Education, and Conservation, to name a few. The site is a great tool for visitors to plan their visit to any of these places, since it provides them with guest information, hours and admission information, directions, and useful recommendations. YouWild allows you to morph photos of yourself, family members, friends or animals into endangered wildlife animals right before your very eyes. After you upload your photo of choice, you can choose one of many imperiled animals, such as wolf cubs, tigers or bats, to change your photo into the animal you have chosen.

YouWild is brought to you by Defenders of Wildlife, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting endangered wildlife and its habitat. File sharing for Macs is made easy with Dockdrop. This desktop app, which works with Tiger and Leopard, allows you to upload files to the internet simply by dragging and dropping files into Dockdrop icon.

It will also add an URL to your clipboard, so that it can easily be pasted into email, chat, or a website. Prior to sending files, you will have to configure the protocol through which you want your files to be sent. Dockdrop currently supports FTP, Flickr, WebDAV and SCP. Once that’s done, you can share files regardless of platform via links; a an overlayed transparent window will keep you up to date as to the progress of each file transfer. Dockdrop is free to use.
