ImThankfulFor.org – Reasons To Be Thankful

  • February 21, 2011

ImThankfulFor.orgShowing others how grateful we are for the good that they have done to us is the key to a happier life. There is no need for us to believe in any particular religion to agree with that. Such a concept is one that we can all universally relate to. It is part of the human condition.

And having a site that lets us say what we are thankful for as directly as this one is nothing short of commendable.

ImThankfulFor.org is a site in which people can share these things they are grateful for with the rest of the world. Users of the site are given 140 characters to explain exactly what it is that others have done for them (or that they feel life has bestowed upon them).

So, it can be said this website behaves a bit like a micro-blogging platform that is actually used for nothing but spreading positive messages around. Granted, the site could use a more refined interface, but it is difficult to criticize something that has been built with the sole aim of spreading goodwill among people.

HappyRambles.com – The Things You Are Grateful For

  • January 27, 2011

HappyRambles.comEssentially, Happy Rambles is nothing but a feel-good service. What it does is to send you daily emails asking you to write down these things that you are grateful for. All these things will then be set down in an online journal that you can have shared with all your friends.

The idea here seems to be that by keeping a balance of these things you are thankful for you will start thinking more positively, and by thinking like that you will actually begin behaving more productively.

Besides, Happy Rambles lets users reflect on their past entries, and put everything in an even better perspective.

As a service, Happy Rambles is quite novel in itself. But you have to keep at it day in and day out for it to work. And while it is possible to have email reminder sent at different frequencies, only by keeping a daily journal will you figure out what is really right with your life.
