Isurvived.org – Forget You Not Project

Isurvived.org is an online community committed to remember the holocaust survivors.

It was terrible what happened in Germany during the 1930s. For that reason, there are people who don’t want to forget about it; they want to talk about it and they want others to know what really happened. Being a Holocaust survivor must be a terrible experience as well. I mean, you are still alive but you had to live a terrible experience. Isurvived.org is also a tribute for those who could make it and are still alive. The mission of Isurvived.org is to preserve the past to protect the future, and not letting something like that happen again. In the site you will be able to view pictures showing people in different camps; they are terrible and horrifying. It is hard to imagine how a human being can treat another human being like that. HolocaustSurvivors.Org provides all sorts of information about the Jewish Holocaust.

They have created this website because they believe that history is not just about events, it is about human lives. At this website they present history with a human face. You can read the stories of the survivors, hear them speak, look at their family photographs, consult their encyclopedia, and much more. You can learn more about the historical introduction to the Holocaust. At the top of the homepage you will find some categories that you could use in order to browse the website. These categories are: Survivor Stories, Photo Gallery, Audio Gallery, Encyclopedia, Texts, Bibliography, Links, Discussions, and About the Project. The encyclopedia entries were specially created to give background information on the stories. For a concise explanation read the first paragraph on an entry; for more information continue reading. The bibliography contains reference materials that the Project Director relied upon in preparing this website.

The Cancer Survivors Network is a community of people whose lives were in some way touched by cancer. Cancer survivor, family members and friends participate in this community in order to share their experiences and provide hope and strength to those who may be going through a difficult time due to this terrible illness.

The community is made up by people from all over the world who have come together for support and understanding. It’s never easy to cope with a disease like cancer but knowing that there are other people that have gone through the same situation and survived makes is easier to fight. The site is totally non-commercial and provides a private and secure way to get in touch with people to share experiences and interests. Members can post message on the discussion boards, e-mail other members, and have private chats. They can also receive monthly newsletters, post information about resources that have helped them personally and perhaps help others, as well as post poems, artwork, and inspirational messages.
