HoughtonMifflinBooks.com – Publishing House
Houghton Mifflin’s Trade are the original editors of none others than Ralph Waldo Emerson, Willa Cather, Philip Roth, Jonathan Safran Foer and Harriet Beecher Stowe, among others, and have been in the publishing business since the 1830’s, and continue to do so with good health, being responsible of such important collections as that of Mariner, Kingfisher and Clarion. In this site, users will find a complete catalogue of the publisher’s catalogue, plus excerpts of selected titles, interviews with featured authors and downloadable eBooks and audioooks.
Other media features include podcasts and video interviews to the authors discussing their works and influences. Authors looking into submitting their manuscripts for review will find a document on the standard requirements for publishing consideration. Purchases are available from this site as well, but I found it to be rather complicated and fussy processes that lead me nowhere. Can they consider making it easier or explaining it out?
