SimpleGuideTool.com – Guide Your Friends

  • March 27, 2011

SimpleGuideTool.comThis is a new application that you can use to remotely guide your friends through any place. The way in which this is achieved is by letting you use a synchronized map with street view and live video chat.

You will be able to see where your friends are by looking at the map, and then give them all the instructions that you want using the video chat. The chances of them getting lost or failing to understand your instructions are nonexistent – you will get to see exactly where they are headed to, and alert them if they are going the wrong direction.

In practice, it all ends up resembling a chapter from one of these sci-fi shows those of us who were born at the tail end of the 70s grew up with. The site is quite amazing in that sense, and I really like it even when the design is rudimentary at best. A service that can be as useful as this deserves a much better design and overall presentation.

It must be noted, though, that MapCrunch doesn?t have to be entirely arbitrary. As a matter of fact, you are able to pick the continent and even the country that you want MapCrunch to pick its random panorama from.

And if you have some time on your hands, just hit the Slideshow button, sit back and enjoy the vista…
