Pungle.org – A Charitable Way To Shop
Pungle is a new shopping platform that lets you support a charity at the same time that you are buying these items that you want. Using this site is as easy as picking any of the featured stores along with the charity that you want to contribute to. Upon doing so, any purchase that you make at that particular online retailer will result in a direct donation.
On average, about 3 % of each purchase that is made through the site is donated by the company. And if you want to know the exact amount, then that is easily done – you can get up-to-date information by following Pungle on Twitter.
Some of the stores that you can currently choose from include Amazon, Zappos, Walmart and GameStop. For its part, six different charities are included: Greenpeace, Peta, Unicef, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Red Cross. As you can see, a lot of ground is already covered. But users are invited to suggest other charities that could be added to the list.
