PharmaLiveSearch is a new vertical search engine focusing on the pharmaceutical industry. As it is designed especially with health and medicine in mind, irrelevant links don’t enter the picture.

At first glance, the engine appears to be pretty standard—there’s a search bar, next to which you’ll find three filter options: search publisher recommended sites, search PharmaLive.com or simply search the web at large. There’s a rather extensive list of options for refining and filtering your search on the actual results page. There are options to narrow and broaden your terms; additionally, you may also search by related terms. There are tabs as well which allow you to focus your results from different outlets, e.g. associations, media, government, blogs and companies. On the left hand side, you’ll find a list of related concepts and the latest in medical news headlines.
