As official MLB (Major League Baseball) site for NY’s Yankees, Yankees.net is everything a baseball fan –any age, any size— could ever wish for.
Headlines, statistics, photograph galleries, history and general team information are available at the site in as many formats as fans may be interested in getting: steaming video, mobile contents and alerts, e-mail newsletters, you name it. At the site users can also purchase tickets for any date throughout 2008, and features for special ticketing needs like special events (i.e. Hall of Fame ceremony or stadium tours) or tickets for large groups are being built. The eCommerce area of the site carries not only tickets and official merchandise but vintage items both by the teams and individual collectors, plus there is a kids’ area where small to medium fans can find content laid down in an easy to understand format plus several interactive features, like the “this week in baseball history” feature among others.
