The Herald-Journal is Spartanburg’s (South Carolina) local daily newspaper. This site is the electronic version of the paper, which reproduces the daily’s top stories and adds to it lots of multimedia content, like videos, photo galleries and podcasts, plus an interesting selection of blogs by the paper’s staff and other top blogs.
The stories covered by this daily are mainly local, and include sports, local events and business. The magazines and supplements which the print edition carries are available from this site in restricted versions. The Herald-Journal belongs to New York Times Regional Media Group, so its design and functionality very much resembles that of the NYT. Subscribers to the print edition can log in to manage their accounts online. Local readers will find the classifieds section particularly useful, are they free to browse (placing one has a variable cost, however).
