MP3Cut.net – Snipping MP3s & Having Fun With Them

  • January 14, 2010

MP3Cut.netMP3Cut is a service that will let you do exactly what its name suggests: you will be able to take a MP3 file (any MP3 file) and snip it at will. The main (and pivotal) use of something like this is to let you create a ringtone using your favorite song, and the part you actually like best from it at that.

Alternatively, you can use it to play around and start gluing together segments of songs that have nothing do with each other, or different versions of the same song. For example, you could take the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s cover of “All I Have To Do Is Dream” and append a bit of the Everly Brothers’ original somewhere. While that is not really something that would change the world, it is certainly something funny and enjoyable to do.

There is really no need to detail the way this tool functions in any depth since it is all as intuitive as manipulating a couple of sliders around. It is a free tool, too, so that if you want to see what it can do for yourself simply head to the site and have a couple of songs at hand.
