Move That Block is a new classifieds website that is free both for people who want to list anything, and for those who want to browse through the featured listings. These are all arranged by category, and so far five are already featured: Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Apartments & Rentals, Vacation Rentals and Jobs/Internships.
Searches themselves are carried out in the usual way – you simply provide the keywords that apply, set down the location (by specifying the relevant ZIP code and the mile range to be scoured) and then the kind of property you are looking for. That is, if you are looking for rentals of any kind. If you are looking for a job or an internship, the interface becomes a little different and you can choose from the many job categories that become available, as well as posting your resume to the site.
On the whole, quite a useful site. Whether it can supersede Craigslist and Co. is an entirely different story, though. But the foundations for something bigger are firmly there.
