If the name Beirut evokes you nothing but the recent war and a great CD by the Gulag Orkestar, you are missing a lot: a directory of sites dealing with Lebanon, its culture, touristic attractions, pictures and also information on the Lebanese-American community, Berro.com is the essential guide to find out about it, and have some fun too, as it presents lots of jokes, fun videos and images.

Though it is clear that this site has a serious clutter problem (the ads and banners are all over the place), the information is very handy and the links are regularly updated, so you won’t find many error messages, which is a problem many other directories do have. I was hoping to find community features in the site to allow people to meet other Lebanese-Americans, but unfortunately there is no forum or chat section. If you know about any site which might be of interest for this directory, do something for your internet karma count and submit it by sending an email to the webmaster with the details.
