InterestMIX is a ratings and review site that is (correctly) based around the premise that our friends and family are the main points or reference we have when it comes to discovering new stuff to try out.
As it stands, the site gathers reviews and ratings of objects in the following categories: movies, music, wine, restaurants, activities, nightlife, TV and culture.
Accounts are created at no cost and the idea is that once you are connected with a couple of friends then your landing page (IE, your MIX page) will act as a portal for discovering newly reviewed things.
Additionally, you can give people an “expert” rate and have their reviews automatically displayed on your MIX page regardless of the fact they are not a part of your immediate circle of friends. The most trusted experts are highlighted, too, so that finding a couple to follow won’t be that hard if you are new to the site.
