Aberdeen School District information can easily be found through asd5.org. Announcements are listed right on the front page of the website cased on how important they are. This generally includes information about when registration is due for certain events and also new school years coming up. There are also headlines listed with information about when there are school board meetings, classes starting up, new report cards available and much more. This information does change throughout the year based on what is planned. Upcoming events can also be found on the home page of asd5.org and through the events section as well.

If you are in Pocatello, Idaho, and tune in to Channel 6, you’ll be able to watch NBC’s KPVI, a local news channel. If however, you are not in Pocatello at the time being, you can still tune in to the station through the site: you won’t be able to watch any live streaming TV, but you will get a comprehensive selection of show’s highlights, which in turn means that you won’t have to put up with the commercials, so it might even be quite a good idea altogether to watch the news from this site and not from the TV.

Wowt.com – WOWT Channel 6, Omaha

As part of the NBC network, WOWT is one of Omaha’s larger news stations. In the site you will be able to find average information for a local news station: broadcast schedule, news, weather, sports, community events, and other user-submitted content like recipes and photos.

RSS feeds are available for most of the sections. Wowt.com presents mainly local, regional and national news (not much international stuff, really), with a stress on locally-relevant stuff, thus presenting information and links to local charity projects, counseling services and local environment initiatives. There are not much video stories to watch, rather the site presents stuff in text format, with the eventual picture, however you can take a peek at individual videos of the weather forecast and news highlights. The site includes some extra online-only features, like a selection of blogs (independent and some of the staff’s), access to several webcams around the city and live traffic reports which can be seen on a map.
