Once bitten, twice shy. If you have ever been caught off guard by the weather and it ruined your whole day (IE, it left you made a mess when you had to go to that crucial job interview) then this is a service that you are certainly going to appreciate.
Basically, Tweetmete will let you get the weather forecast for your city via Twitter. Using this service involves little more than signing in using your Twitter credentials and setting down your preferences. You will then start receiving a tweet including the daily forecast for your city.
As a service, Tweetmete works best when used in conjunction with either Tweetdeck or Seesmic. And in order to get the best from it, the programmer advices you to disable Twitter’s automatic mail notifications for new direct messages.
And just in case you are curious, the weather information comes directly from Yahoo News. I am sure you must have already used that service before. You already know how accurate (or not) it can be for the city you live in. Tweetmete will provide you with that very same information. Bearing that in mind, you should know if this new app is for right for you or not.
