A site started by Craig Newmark (founder of Craigslist), CraigConnect has the aim of making people aware of all these companies that are focused on doing good above everything else.
The focus here is on non-profits and public service organizations that (to quote Newmark) do stuff on a sustainable basis.
This is not a site for investors to come looking for the big next thing, although the chances of them finding a company or two that they would like to pursue a relationship with are more than high. No, this site is about bringing together all the good companies in the world using the Internet, and offer just everybody a framework in which to become linked.
This is an ambitious project bar none. Newmark has already stated that he will spend the next 20 years of his life to make it all come to fruition.
