This new site turns creating an ebook into something that anybody can do, as it’s not only really simple to use but it’s also available at no cost. If you’re a writer who has just finished his first truly good work, all you have to do is to upload the PDF or Doc for it to be converted into an ePub file. As I’m sure you know, that’s the standard format for mostly every reading device around. iPads and iPods support it, and so does Sony Readers, Kobos and Nooks. The one exception to the rule is the Kindle, as that’s got a format of its very own (IE, mobi). But even that is supported by 2ePub.com, as it’s one of the output formats that you can choose when converting any file.
The full list includes the following formats: doc, docx, epub, fb2, html, lit, lrf, mobi, odt, pdb, pdf, prc, rtf, and txt. As you can see, that’s pretty extensive. It’s hard to think of a reading device that doesn’t support at least one of them.
And the site’s not only usable for free, it can also be used without having to sign up for an account first. All you have to do is to select the files that you want to have converted for the job to be done before you can even snap your fingers. And you can select as many as five different files at the same time, too.
