A Little Birdie Told Me There’s A New Twitter In Town. Here’s How It Works In 140 Words.

Alright all you tweeters, time to get excited about Twitter’s new design roll-out and a few more interesting bits and bobs. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo made the announcement yesterday on the Today show, and says it’s all about personalizing your profile personality.

Honoring Twitter’s infamous 140 character brevity (or, maybe I’m just being lazy), here’s what you need to know about the new look in 140 words. Technically 70 words now…  68… OK, I’m going!

Header

Costolo says the main change is your profile header (a-la Facebook’s Timeline banner). Your header along with your avatar are front and center to create a bigger, better and more personable profile. Here’s a step-by-step on how to change your Twitter header.

iPad

Costolo also announced Twitter’s new iPad app that’s beautiful, easy to use and fast. The new app features support for photo streams, videos, and new profiles.

iPhone and Android

Finally, Twitter’s iPhone and Android apps have also been updated to reflect the new roll-out. Like the iPad app, users are able to to view photos or videos shared by other users on their stream

OK, so not quite 140 words but hey, you got the bullet points you needed to rev up your Twitter experience. So, what are you waiting for? The early tweeter catches the…I dunno…latest news feed?
