There are ample opportunities for networking – it’s up to you to seize them. You can join groups – such as your local Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club – attend industry events and conferences, participate in online forums, and even launch your own networking groups within your niche.

Today’s consumers – millennials, in particular – gravitate towards businesses that care about more than the bottom line. There’s a huge soft spot in the market for companies that care about social causes, the environment, and helping others.

By getting involved in the community, you do two things for your business. First off, you gain more networking opportunities. Secondly, you can connect your brand to positive causes and build up a reputation as a brand that cares.
