Who wants to live in Buenos Aires?

Better question: Who doesn’t want to live in Buenos Aires? As a former fake porteña myself, let me answer that for you: no one. Buenos Aires is a city that gets under your skin (literally, in my case – I have a tattoo for it on my back) in ways that you can never really explain. Anyone who lives there knows that the wistful melancholy of those poorly paved streets pops up at the least expected moments – when the cast of light is just right or the smell of charred meat hits your nose or you take that first sip from a bottle of malbec.

Buenos Aires is also an up-and-coming hub for startup entrepreneurship and disruption. A recent article in the Huffington Post even went so far as to suggest that entrepreneurship may be the thing that saves Argentina from its current economic crisis.

But what’s with all this talk of “the Paris of South America?” This isn’t a travel blog! Who cares about romance and tango and kissing strangers hello? Who cares about the best meat you’ll ever eat and $2 bottles of wine that taste better than anything you can afford at home?

Virtuali cares… And so should you.

I introduced you guys to Virtuali Go! back in July – they’re an all-inclusive, immersive, experience-based live abroad program that gives future leaders professional training while letting them continue to work at their current jobs. Coming in at $7,999 to $9,999 for the whole experience, I ended my last article about them with the note that it may not be feasible for bootstrapped startups but definitely within the budgets of bigger tech companies looking to grow.

That was then. This is now.

Virtuali is offering one free Go! tuition for the Fall 2014 cohort. That means you get 15 days of luxury accommodation in Buenos Aires, 20+ hours of team leadership coursework, individual assessment and coaching, and access to the Virtuali Alumni Program. (Check out their site for the full list of benefits.)

The program runs from November 3 to December 15 and the time period in Buenos Aires starts on November 29th, which I can tell you from personal experience is pretty much the best time to be in the city. The terrible heat and humidity of summer has yet to hit and you can enjoy the flowering trees and “buen aire” (good air) of late spring/early summer on the delta.

If you’re interested in applying, head over to the Go! Giveaway rules page, which you can access here. They have a complete list of who’s eligible and what you need to do to win some time in one of the world’s greatest cities and future startup hub. Also, all non-winning applicants get 10% off the full price of participating in the fall cohort, so you win something even if you don’t win the whole thing.

This is a no-brainer. Stop whatever you’re doing and go apply now.
