Elevator Pitch:

Website Speed Ranker tells you how fast your website loads, compared with your competitors.

Why It’s A Killer Startup:

Fact: your users are impatient. Well, all internet users are impatient, really, but for now we’ll just talk about yours, because I’m sure those are the ones you care about. The internet is full of shiny, lovely distractions. If your site takes a long time to load, you’re very likely to lose your users before they even make it to your homepage. According to KISSmetrics, slow loading time is the number one factor for site abandonment, so if your site takes a while to boot up, you’re pretty much out of luck.

Now consider the fact that your site might be lagging, but your competitors are faster than a Formula 1 driver. Who do you think people are going to be more likely to come back to, you or that other guy? Answer: the other guy. ‘Cause your site is laaaaagggggiiinnnnng and they have a bunch of cat videos to watch today, a mission that your shit loading time isn’t going to foil.

But how do you know how fast your site is loading? And how do you know how it compares to your competitors? While you could sit there and count seconds, a better solution is to check out Website Speed Ranker, which lets you check your loading time and, if you want, check it against four competitors.

All you have to do is enter your URL, tell them whether you want their report weekly, daily, or only once, and then add up to four competitors’ URLs. Website Speed Ranker then goes and checks out the speeds of your site and the other four sites, and send all the deets to you in a nice little email. You’ll see if you need to improve, if you’re doing just fine, or if you’re kicking ass in the speed department. You can then take that info and make your company that much better.
