From the makers of the indie music site YouLicense comes Virv, an independent music TV channel. You’ll get to hear the likes of Architecture in Helsinki, Of Montreal, Aesop Rock, and a whole gaggle more of these music darlings 24/7.
Indie artists only, of course. It’s sort of like what those music channels used to do during their Urban Nights or Chill Beats or whatever those long forgotten flings of back to back music were called. So if you missed CMJ or Austin, here’s your chance to see your fav bands in the flesh, well, on the screen that is, in high, crystal clear DVD quality video, (or so they say). This type of quality has to be downloaded, this isn’t Flash after all. The player is absolutely free, but Windows friendly only for the meantime—a Mac version is in the works.
Virv.tv In Their Own Words
“A revolutionary, high-quality indie music experience”
Why Virv.tv It Might Be A Killer
This sounds very cool indeed. Who doesn’t want to listen to the Most Serene Republic, or was that Architecture in Helsinki? Especially fitting for today’s indie kids who cannot get their fair share on the standard music outlets (Much, MTV et. al), as half the music programming has been replaced by vile celeb reality shows.
