Twibble.de – Tweet From Anywhere

Twibble.deTwitter has got a hold on the internet. The highly addictive and surprisingly useful microblogging service has grown in the past couple of years from a pet project to (and keep in mind that it’s their main goal) a way to track what the whole world is talking about.

The thing with Twitter is that most of the eventful things worth tweeting about happen when you’re away from your computer, and even when you’re on it, you’re not necessarily logged in to your Twitter account. That’s where Twibble comes in. Twibble offers everything you need to stay connected to the Twitterverse, even if you’re not on Twitter.

The desktop client is one of the finest out there, providing you with everything you need in order to get the most out of Twitter, right from your desktop. It’s quick to install and setting up your account on it shouldn’t be a problem, you’ll be tweeting your heart out in no time.

Twibble’s main advantage comes from it’s mobile app, though. It’s a Java application, which means it will work on most phones, without them having to be iPhones or Android devices. You can download it in seconds, and the install is very quick too (it took me about 20 seconds in a Sony Ericsson p990i, and that’s an old phone). The mobile app offers everything you need to enjoy Twitter, and the search functionality comes in very handy for checking @replies for other accounts you might be managing.

Twibble is one of, if not the, best mobile Twitter apps. The free version is limited to 10 tweets showing in your screen at one time, but with the functionalities being so well thought out, it’s worth paying the €5 to get the full version.

Twibble.de In Their Own Words

Thilo Horstmann, from Twibble, had this to say “Our vision is to make the use of twitter and other social networks much more useful and fun. We are archiving it by constantly adding innovative features to our applications. We are happy to see twitter’s adding geolocation in these days – something we’ve had in our twitter clients and API for some time already. To extend these services furthermore is one of our short-term goals.”

Why Twibble.de It Might Be A Killer

It’s a killer app for today’s Twitter-centric internet. A definite must if you’re not using an iPhone or Android phone.
