This website (which has got a simple but highly-functional design) lets you specify the airport you’re departing from and the one you’ll arrive at, along with the date and time you’ll be traveling. Once you’ve submitted that information, you’ll be presented with a list of airlines offering cheap seats for that day and date.
And if you want, you can get a little more specific. For example, you can name any three airlines as your “favorite airlines”. By doing so, the results you’ll get when looking for available seats will always focus on these three airlines first. The rest will come later.
It must be mentioned, though, that in order to use the site you must know the codes of these airports you’ll be flying to and from. That is, their names alone won’t do. But these codes can be easily figured out nowadays – the websites of airports always list them. And so does Wikipedia.
And just to make your travel experience perfect, SeatCounter.com lets you make car and hotel bookings. The results can be toggled on and off by clicking on the links you can see on the left-hand side of the homepage. And if you look at the very bottom, you’ll find that the site includes both maps and books for most worldwide locations.
