TheTalkingDrum.com – Take Pride On Afro Heritage

TheTalkingDrum.comThe website started as a school project during African Heritage Month in 1998. Ever since then, it’s grown and grown into what today is TheTalkingDrum.

com, a site with information about Africans by Africans. They’re non-profit organization which is ad-free and self supported which focuses mostly on linking pages which promote liberation, empowerment, unification and justice for African and African descendants. They sport free email, voice chat, audio/video resources, an online radio stations and discussion forums where you can participate and get involved in the community, because as they state “the .com in TheTalkingDrum.com is for community.” It’s a very interesting and complex site, they feature a lot of links to different communities and black pride sites which might come as a shocker to some at first such as the Pan-African TV link, which is run by Pan-African revolutionaries and others. What is more, they look forward becoming as active with their members offline as they are online, to make it more like a real community rather than an internet thing. Check it out for yourself at TheTalkingDrum.com. TheTalkingDrum.com
