Seattle based IndieShares accepts feature-length scripts from all genres, through a proprietary, online submission engine, and analyzes their commercial viability to create an IndieScore. The scripts with the highest IndieScores are posted online for public voting.
The winners of the voting contests are turned into public offerings with shares available for $10 each. Once production budgets are raised, films are produced and any profits are split amongst the shareholders. To find out more, go to www.IndieShares.com and click on “How it Works” or “FAQ”.
Why IndieShares It Might Be A Killer
Since IndieShares’ success is dependent on many people knowing about us (investments are capped at $2,500 per investor so, for a $2.5MM film, we’d need at least 10,000 investors), it’s crucial that we get a sense for what the general population thinks.
