FutureMe.org – Email Your Future Self
Have you ever fantasized about where you’ll be in 10, 20 or maybe 30 years time? The internet hasn’t found a way to come up with an answer for that question quite yet, but the people at FutureMe.org have managed to let you stay in touch with yourself in the future.
Here’s how it works: you register to the site and write an email and set the date when you want to have it mailed back to you (at some point in the next 30 years), and provide the email address you’d like it delivered to. Should you change your email, you can come back to the site to update the information and make sure you get your letter. You can also use the site to send you a reminder of something you’ve probably have forgotten in the future, or just to talk back to yourself. Interestingly, you can set your email to be private (so that only you can read it) or make it public, and allow anyone to read it in the site after it’s been sent, thus, when you visit the site you can take a look at what other people have been saying to themselves.
