CircusMuseum.nlWhether you are a circus fan or a vintage graphic arts enthusiast, will probably be a great find for you: a collection of circus arts prints from the Dutch circus memorabilia collector Jaap Best (1912-2002).

The original collection is available in the Teyler Museum in the Netherlands, and contains approximately 8,000 posters, 7,000 photos and picture postcards; hundreds of books, magazines and prints, plus circus programmes and newspaper cuttings. The largest part of the collection is available through this site, which can be browsed by the images the posters show –acrobats, magicians, freaks, funfairs, clowns, etc— and available for downloads in small formats (generally 260 x 350 pixels). The material includes date and information on the circus and artists it depicts, and the printer of the poster or print.
