Recently Will Turn Your Pics Into A Magazine, For Cheap

Today’s Killer Startup: Recently

Elevator Pitch:

Recently is “your camera roll in a monthly magazine.”

Why It’s A Killer Startup:

I’m the person who still has all of my journals, photo albums, and even notes passed in class, because I want to show them to my daughter someday. I was also the little kid who spent hours going through photo albums at my grandma’s house, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how sad it’s going to be when the environmental apocalypse comes and we don’t have any photos left because they were all stored digitally.

Or just, you know, how sad it is that my future daughter won’t have any photo albums from my twenties to look at.

Recently is a beautiful solution to the digital photos only problem. At the end of every month (or really whenever you feel like it) the app will present your 100 most recent photos. You can then go through them and decide which ones you want to print. Or, if you prefer, you can also just choose to print them all. If you’re like me and tend to take multiple pictures of the same thing looking for a great shot, the editing process can be a little lengthy, but their app is so intuitive that it’s not difficult at all. Plus, who doesn’t like looking back over pretty pictures?

Once you’ve chosen your 100 pictures, tap “Upload” and Recently takes care of the rest! They’ll send you a beautiful magazine printed on Mohawk paper featuring all of your lovely snaps. It’s like they took Instagram hipster cool to an entirely new level, and I love it.

I can’t be the only one who loves holding a physical object in my hands still, can I? If you don’t want your beautiful pictures and memories to disappear into the abyss, sign up for Recently and get them catalogued in beautiful magazines. Oh, and did I mention that it’s super cheap? Only $8.99 per month and $7.99 if you refer a friend. Do it!

Your pics are too pretty to live only online. @GetRecently and get a beautiful magazine every month of your best moments.
