ParkingInMotion.com – Find Parking Space

ParkingInMotion.comParkingInMotion (PIM) is an iPhone app that puts an end to trying to find a place to park in a crowded area for the best part of 15 minutes, only to end up at a garage that charges you three times more than you know it’s fair. This cool iOS application (you can download it for free here, and it’ll shortly become available for Android) can compare parking spots until it finds one that suits your needs 100%. PIM is able to create customized parking recommendations that take into account both your cost and preferences.

The app already covers not only the US and Canada but also several European territories. Over 500 cities are actually supported, and for all of them you get rates, hours, entrance points and occupation information. And when it comes to the top 26 US markets, the PIM database also includes on-street meter and sign restrictions.

There’s already quite a good couple of apps that do something similar to what PIM has set out to do. See SpotHero and ParkCirca, for example. But the company knows as much, and that’s why it’s building as many bonds with operators and municipalities as it can. All of its products are actually free while the service remains in public beta, so if you own a parking lot and you want to increase your visibility then this is the right time to do something about it.
