OurSpot.com – Share Photo Moments

OurSpot.comWhen Facebook is redesigned, people get angry. When people get angry, they start looking for alternatives. And when people start looking for alternatives, sites like this one are released. OurSpot is a social network that puts a lot of emphasis on photos. By signing up for an account (membership costs nothing), you’ll be able to create as many “spots” as you want. These are collections of photos that are connected in any way or the other. “Spots” can deal with any place you’ve visited during your last holiday, with any mega-party you’ve attended, with your best friend’s graduation… the site’s really wide in scope. If you’ve been somewhere or done something that’s meant a lot to you, then you’ll be able to create a “spot” and have it shared. And (according to how private it is), you’ll get other people to contribute their own pictures.

It all depends on how personal your “spot” is. If you’re creating a “spot” dealing with the latest Foo Fighters’ gig in your hometown, then you might as well make that one 100% public and let everybody add his own photos to your album. But if the “spot” deals with something which is private by definition (like your little brother’s baptism), then it’s possible to share that “spot” with your closest circle only, and have no-one but them contribute their pictures.

OurSpot.com In Their Own Words
