There are tons of parenting sites, so what makes this one different? The answer seems to be twofold – first, OpMom goes beyond the talk-centric focus of many competitors and sets out to be more useful in the daily lives of its users. It tries to help mom manage the various aspects of her complex daily “operation” (hence the name) and provides free organizational tools she can use for that purpose, such as family health record organizers, personal and group calendars, plus recipe, travel and party idea organizers. There is also a neat local referrals system where moms can refer and rate local service providers, which would probably come in handy on a regular basis.
