Neave.tv – Watch TV On Your Computer

Neave.tvNeave.tv allows you to choose from 100 categorized channels and watch TV right from the comfort of your desk.

Neave is powered by Blip.tv, Google Video and YouTube and the quality, if you have a fast computer and more than a meg of download speed is excellent. You can choose from the following categories: Short Films, Technology, Subversive, Music or Weird. All of the content comes from videos that the creator found on the web and it has been modified to make it appear more like a TV. The picture looks great and it feels far more like watching TV than most other internet TV sites. The site is also commercial free although those looking to watch current TV series or sports events will be disappointed as they are not currently available.

Neave.tv In Their Own Words

Neave.tv is “creativity in a telly stylee” — a selection of top quality, creative, weird and wonderful videos I’ve found on the web, presented in a TV-style (continuously streaming video in your full browser window) and powered by Blip.tv, Google Video and YouTube.
It tries to challenge the concept of video over the web. Why have video stuck inside a tiny box inside a webpage with a scrub-bar, a five star rating and a comments section? Computers can do so much more than that. It’s a TV experience; it’s not about finding content, it’s about watching it. There’s deliberately no commercials nor boring videos where you need to skip to the good part — just sit and watch. That’s the idea anyway.

Why Neave.tv It Might Be A Killer

The content itself will probably not lead this to be a hugely popular site, however the look and feel of the site are really incredible and could well be used in the future for all sorts of computer TV sites. With better content, this site could become hugely popular.

Some Questions About Neave.tv

Will this be opened up so that people wishing to display more orthodox content can do so? If it is, then this could be a real boom, if not, the content is just simply to strange to generate much interest. Neave.tv
