Latestweets.com – Stay Abreast Of Twitter Trends

Latestweets.comLatestweets is a service that shows news, videos and images from the WWW to go with the latest Twitter trends. It can be said that this website aims to put images and video to tweets, and display the content people are currently interested in.

Well, I am afraid it doesn’t work out like that at all. Today (the day after the Oscars have been awarded) the conversation online is obviously dominated by who won this and that statue. And this site has a tricky time keeping up. The most egregious thing I spotted (and at the very moment I arrived on the site) was that a video of the anime “Avatar: The Last Airbender” was displayed as part of the media for James Cameron’s down-trodden space epic. Also, images for “The Hurt Locker” and Jeff Bridges featured far too many a still from some beauty sets. Perplexing, and (most of all) off-putting.

The site could certainly do with a major revision, with the way it handpicks content receiving a good fine-tuning. As it stands right now, the images and media are so arbitrary that nobody could learn anything from it.

Latestweets.com In Their Own Words

“Latestweets displays realtime news, video, images for twitter trends from around the web. The contents are updated after every 10 mins.”

Why Latestweets.com It Might Be A Killer

The idea is interesting, even if the execution is radically flawed.
