iSofa.tv – A New Viewing Experience

iSofa.tviSofa.tv is a Portuguese online video startup.

It lets you watch internet videos much in the same way that you watch channels on your tv. Once you open up the site, you’ll get a quick introduction trailer, telling what the site’s about. From there, a video player appears with controls on the bottom, where you can adjust volume, pause and fast forward videos, and there are channels on the side. Scroll through each thumbnail to find videos, or use the controls. Moving the cursor on the site makes the controls visible. There’s a full screen option on the left hand side. Each video comes with a pop open description. You have the option to bookmark videos and send them to friends. There’s also a search bar below the controls. The site is still in beta.

iSofa.tv In Their Own Words

“Give us a theme and you watch your own channel. Sit tight and get ready for the best..”

Why iSofa.tv It Might Be A Killer

The site, despite it’s obvious beta-ness, does have the start of a slick interface. It has taken up some innovative ideas at this stage and could become popular later on.

Some Questions About iSofa.tv

The pixel size is definitely an issue. All the videos look blurry—it’s very hard to make any images out. There’s no play button—you have to press pause twice to get a video to start. Much of the site is still in Portuguese as well. iSofa.tv
