Did you know that Glisser is a Creole word meaning a ‘nomadic surfer, looking for waves and ukulele music’? While that ukulele bit brings up some doubts, the surf accommodation site Glissers seems to prove the rest true. Glissers uses Google Maps, (what else?) to plot out ubercool surf locales.
So, you surfers, got a surfing accommodation that you’ve got to rave about? Post it on Glissers. Rate it. Let your fellow surfers know what’s hot and what’s definitely not. Each spot comes with a full review which means you’ll get the niceties as well as the not so nice parts along with travel routes, closest airports, prices, and wave and wind stats. You’ll also find a complete listing of utilities and extras such as whether or not the place has got wifi and breakfast included. Glissers, of course won’t cost you a dime to use.
Glisser.com In Their Own Words
“Glissers is a directory of surf camps, surfaris, and surf lodges all around the world. Most places have been added and reviewed by traveling surfers, who know that sharing experiences is good for the karma.
Glissers has just been launched. We are in what’s known as “Beta”. Beta just means that we have an excuse if the site is messed up. Glissers will probably stay in beta for another couple of years, just to play it safe.”
Why Glisser.com It Might Be A Killer
