There has been a certain proliferation of sites letting people raise funds for any cause that they deem as worthy recently. Give Forward is a new addition to that category.
It doesn’t have any particularly distinctive features to speak about, and I am afraid picking it over any of its competitors will boil down to a matter of personal tastes and little else.
Describing the way the site works feels a bit like déjà vu – by now, we all know that sites like this one let you create a page for raising funds for any event or charity that you want to support. Here, these pages are appropriately named “Fundraisers” and they are not islands lost in the sea in the sense that you can promote them all over the Social Web in order to get the word out on what you are doing.
From my vantage point, websites like Crowdrise are vastly superior to this one. But I advise you to give this site a visit and see where does it stand for you, and whether or not it is something that you envision using.
