FMDRL began when the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine received a three year grant of $400,000 by the National Library of Medicine. FMDRL purpose is to be an asset and resource for family medicine educators of all levels. Browsing through FMDRL is easy to do because the site is well organized. There are many filters that help you easily find the articles you are looking for. You can search by topic, groups of one of the many other filters. FMDRL features many articles along with other types of resources such as: power point lectures, digital images, conference presentations, handouts, patient cases, and recommended web sites. Besides the standard library features FMDRL has networking areas for groups, peer reviews, and a work in progress section. FMDRL has many great resources for family medical educators.
