Finally The World Comes Into Holistic Focus On TV – Elation Media

You’ve probably muttered this question toward the TV a few thousand times: why am I watching this garbage? Streaming services and online platforms might have changed the way we digest our media – and, of course, there are always exceptions, you can find some fine programming out there – but, by in large, the landscape has looked depressingly the same for a long time.


What you don’t find? A content provider that broadcasts directly to the 80 million holistic consumers in the country, the people concerned about the well being of their bodies, minds, communities, that never see their values or concerns reflected in the media.


Elation Media is out to change things. This company looks to speak the language of this group currently shut out of mainstream media and offer body-mind news, cutting edge information and enlightened entertainment. A network that cares about body, mind, and spirit – what a refreshing endeavor!

Those unfamiliar with the holistic lifestyle or accustomed to seeing the same ole-same ole may think yeah right, but they should be interested to learn that behind the Elation Media curtain, serving as Chairman, is Gerald M. Levin, a founder of HBO and decade-long CEO at Time Warner. Award-winning filmmaker Robert Schnitzer is Elation Media’s Founder and CEO. Let’s just say that they have serious plans.


Elation Media will create original content, distribute content and monetize content. Already set with 200 hours of content at launch, they plan to turn up everywhere – mobile devices, smart TVs, on demand channels to pay TV and Internet TV operators. They own and operate 2 global streaming channels, Oasis TV (O TV) and O TV On Demand. It might not be long before O TV and Elation Media become household names.


Their vision: “To become the leading provider of ad-supported body-mind/holistic programming in all major English-language markets and on media platforms worldwide within the next 3 years.”


Though just starting out, they’ve already lined up seven revenue streams (try not to be too jealous, startup founders):

  • advertising sales
  • subscription sales
  • retail sales
  • live event sales
  • program sales
  • radio syndication sales
  • sponsored content sales


As impressive as the young company’s pedigree and ambition appear, nothing wows quite like the prospect of a news/entertainment/information source geared toward (brace yourselves) happiness. Doesn’t it make sense that, if we want our world to be a healthier and more peaceful place, we give more of our attention to the people already working toward better living? Haven’t we had our fill of violence, misery, mayhem and explosions?
