search cancel – Social Site For Students

DoodleMat.comAs I am sure you know (specially after the Oscar-nominated movie that was released to great fanfare last year), Facebook was originally conceived as a place in which students could connect with each other. It all grew from there into the social bastion that it is today. But it all began as a network for students to stay in touch with each other. And occasionally, people are tempted to revisit these roots. That is why every now and then a site like DoodleMat is released – a social site for nobody but students.

Understanding what DoodleMat is all about, then, is not really difficult – think of a version of Facebook where the only interactions that take place are college-related, and you will know all there is to know. All that is shared (including media) has got some direct link to college activity.

And it is interesting to mention that the site is not only meant to be used by current students – far from it. It is also supposed to be a place where people who have left their college days for good a long time ago can connect with their former classmates. In Their Own Words

Student social network.

Why It Might Be A Killer

It targets one of the main demographics in the whole of the US – it should pick a minimum of traction.
