The Digifit apps include iCardio, iRunner, iBiker, iSpinner and iPower. Each one of these actually deserves a full review of its own. For now, I will tell you that they will keep track of heart rate, pace, speed, cadence, power, weight and sleep score for you. All of these apps are universal, IE you will be able to load them onto your mobile and use them as long as you are logged into your iTunes account.
In order to use any of these apps you must also get a transceiver named Digifit Connect. This is plugged straight into the dock connector of your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, and the moment it has been inserted your mobile device is turned into a true fitness and health monitor.
The Digifit Connect transceiver itself collects its data from a wide range of ANT + sensors – sensors that are known for their overall reliability, and their ability to remain unaffected by common interferences. This transceiver obviously comes at a cost, but it must be pointed out that the apps themselves can be procured for free.
