Chill.com – Watch Videos With Friends

Chill.comHulu is trying to grab a larger share of the online video market with the release of Chill, a platform that lets people watch their favorite content with their friends. They can watch both their favorite TV shows and live events on Chill, and then comment on what they’ve watching. They can do that both during and after watching the actual content, in fact. The idea’s to give the whole process of watching shows and the coverage of important events a true live aura.

If you give Chill a try, you’ll find out that (for the time being, at least) it’s a bit limited in how events can be shared. It mostly works along the lines of “I-play-it-you-watch-it”. But the service makes it easy to invite people over, as it lets you connect with Facebook and bring all your friends and fans along for the ride.

And also on the plus side, Chill lets you watch content on sites other than Hulu itself. You can watch anything that’s on YouTube, VEVO and Vimeo. And that’s really great, because (in case you didn’t know) Hulu is a service that’s not available all over the world. Only those who are in the States (and people in Japan) can watch the content featured there.
