Borders, the huge book, music, and movie retailer with more than a thousand stores worldwide, has teamed some years ago with Amazon.com to offer online shopping, giving consumers access to a vast selection of books, music, and DVDs, as well as to some unique content of the site.
If you are a book lover, you can really spend hours browsing through its endless book selection. You can narrow down results by category – such as business & money management, audio books, cooking & food, romance, nonfiction, travel, humor, computers & internet, reference, nature, etc. – format (hardcover, paperback, etc.), special features – such as large print, revised, Braille, etc. – or by price. All books are displayed in nice thumbnails and contain detailed information including author, price, description, customers’ reviews, edition info, etc. You can check availability for store pick up, reserve or add to wish list. The same layout and navigation applies to music and DVDs. The company plans to launch its own e-commerce website in early 2008.
