Asnt.org – ASNT Provides Certification for those Upholding Efforts in Non-Destructive Testing

ASNT is the American Society for Nondestructive Testing. This special interest group can grant certification in several categories and on two or three levels. One such category is the radiation safety certification or the IRRSP certificate. A database at asnt.org shows who holds valid certification currently.

You probably would like to know how you will be graded when attempting for certification. There are exams given and the grading stipulations are outlined for you within the list of available programs. Personal, Level II and Level III guidelines include the program documents, re-certification applications and exam outlines for all of these.

Where the exams are held and when is useful information presented to readers at asnt.org. They also explain of their work with organizations all over the world and who these organizations may be to help understand just how frequently the organization influences companies to acquire their certification in Nondestructive Testing.

Additional instruction is available for those interested in taking refresher courses. A list of materials partakers will be using plus a downloadable registration form are supplied for you at asnt.org. If you want contact names you will find them here. Everyone in charge of testing both domestically and abroad is listed for you with their phone number and appropriate extension.

PED or Pressure Equipment Directive is another entity that demands testing and with this arises the need for testing in nondestructive ways. At ASNT PED approval can be granted to those who currently hold valid certification. Finally, the code of ethics is published on the website. The goal of this organization is to encourage safety in the world. By encouraging non-destructive testing technologies and using published materials, ongoing research and conference hosting they expect to reach others who will support them in their efforts.
