AmericanField.com is the home page of American Field, a sporting dog association, located in Chicago, Illinois. AmericanField has been around since 1874 following field trial sports in the United States. There are many favorite pastime trials such as horseback stakes to walking events. There are even ones dedicated to quail, pheasant, prairie chicken, grouse, woodcock and more! Every week AmericanField offers their readers the latest news on purebred sporting dogs and trial competition results. All issues include photos of the winners, stories of their owners and handlers, detailed descriptions of the events, and an advertising section for the sale of goods, services and announcements of upcoming trials. The oldest purebred dog registry in the United States is the Field Dog Stud Book and it helps dog owners with authentic documentation, registration, certified pedigrees and DNA services.

Visitors to AmericanField.com are able to subscribe to the magazine format, as well as check out the latest news. Classifieds and the event calendar each have their own section. There are printable forms that can be downloaded and printed to save those interested time. Users can register for their own account to login easily. Clubs and associations can be searched to find one in your local area. The Field Trial Hall of Fame is on display at AmericanField.com. It was created in 1954 and every year deserving dogs and field trial personalities are elected. The Hall of Fame recognizes a dog’s and person’s contributions to the pastime and is considered one of the highest honors in this time honored sport. A list includes all of them even going back to 1954.
